Today’s Beer of the World was recently crowned the champion of the Beers and Ears Walt Disney World Beer Tournament. A beer you can find just about everywhere at Walt Disney World, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is brewed by the Sierra Nevada Brewing Company out of Chico, California.
The Sierra Nevada Brewing Company’s website is an interesting study of the company, as well as a resource for their products. The company was named Environmental Business of Year by the United States Environmental Protection Agency in 2010, and their website showcases their continuing commitment to the environment. They also have an extensive shop that includes all sorts of Sierra Nevada branded merchandise, from the expected t-shirts and hats, to the not so expected hop oil lip balm and beer brittle.

This American pale ale has a higher end average ABV of 5.6%. The folks over at Beer Advocate gave it a score of 92, and it received an aggregate score of 91 in their almost 2,500 reader reviews, earning it an “Exceptional” rating.
Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is a good beer. It’s not my favorite beer at WDW, but it’s definitely one of the better choices and the fact that it is so widely available is a bonus. There aren’t many “craft” beers at Disney that are this easy to come by.
