Beers of the World – Moosehead Pale Ale

Pale Ale

Today’s Beer of the World comes from Moosehead Breweries in Saint John, New Brunswick.   Moosehead Pale Ale has an interesting distinction amongst the beers at Walt Disney World.  According to the Le Cellier menu, Le Cellier is the only place outside of Canada that serves this beer,  which makes this a truly rare Walt Disney World beer.

From the website:

The beer that built the brewery.  Moosehead Pale Ale was our first beer good enough to be called Moosehead.  ‘Moose Red’ as it’s referred to in the Maritimes has a loyal following who appreciate its remarkably smooth, European-influenced taste.

Moosehead Pale Ale has an ABV of 5.0%.   Given the fact that it is only served in Canada, and as said, Le Cellier, it’s not surprising that Beer Advocate has not reviewed this beer.   It also only has a sparse 19 reviews from their users,  who gave it an aggregate score of 73 and a rating of “Good”.

Have you had a chance to try the Moosehead Pale Ale, either at Le Cellier or in Canada?  What did you think of it?
