Today’s Beer of the World is an American IPA that comes to us from the Terrapin Beer Company out of Athens, Georgia. This beer can be found at Raglan Road. Rather than showcasing the whole bottle, I thought this label deserved a closer look. How can you not love an executioner turtle?
The Terrapin Beer Company has a pretty decent website, which includes information on their beers, events, recipes, and a Terrapin brand store. They have also teamed up with the Turtle Survival Alliance for donations to that charity, which is nice.
Here’s what they have to say about the Hopsecutioner IPA:
This Killer IPA earns its name by using six different types of hops while still remaining an aggressive well balanced beer.
This beer has a higher end ABV of 7.3%. Beer Advocate has not yet reviewed this beer, but 542 site members have and they gave it an aggregate score of 86, which qualifies it for a “Good” rating. I’ve not had this beer out of the bottle, but did try it on tap at a local microbrew pub and found it to be a pretty decent IPA. If I was in the mood for an IPA, wouldn’t hesitate to order it at Raglan Road or elsewhere.
