Beers of the World – Radeberger Pilsner

Radeberger Pilsner

One of the great things about the World Showcase at Epcot is the opportunity to try beer and wine from countries you might not have otherwise.  Which brings us to today’s Beer of the World, Radeberger Pilsner.  You’ll find it at several locations in the Germany pavillion, including Biergarten and Sommerfest, and during the holidays at the outdoor kiosk Christkindlmarkt (Christmas Market).

Radeberger Pilsner’s official description:

Crowned the official drink by King Friedrich August III of Saxony, Radeberger, a pilsner style beer brewed near Dresden, is characterized by its dazzling and refreshing taste and has long been enjoyed by German nobility.

A light golden color with a light and crisp taste, this beer rates a B+ with the folks at Beer Advocate and a B with its readers.  While not our usual choice for a beer when at the Germany pavillion, we found it light and refreshing on a hot summer afternoon at Epcot.
